Another fish-tail style!

Today I've done another fish-tail braid style nail look, I love it! It turned out really well I thought, love how simple-yet-complicated this look is.

Colours I used:
Basecoat: a-England - The Knight
Colours: China Glaze - For Audrey and Spontaneous, Barry M - silver foil
Top coat: Seche Vite

Here's how they turned out!

 In normal light
 With the flash
In the shade (excuse the crazy massive paper-cut on my middle finger - note to self: avoid getting varnish remover in the cut! Ouch!)

Hope you like!

Random nail art spam!

Sorry for the poor quality of these, the pictures were taken on my phone - I now plan to use my very lovely camera to take snaps from now on! Just thought I would share some random nail designs I've done on both myself and on my mum! Let me know if you like any!

Flame gradient using colours from the China Glaze 'Hunger Games' collection

Marvel's Avengers nail art done for the release of the fantastic movie!

Galaxy nail art

Two-tone goodness! Loved the simplicity of this look!

Tetris time!

Black/white fun!

Successful water marble!

Strawberries!

Mum's french manicure!

Lord of the Rings nail art!

Sorry about the mess on these nails, I hadn't always done the "clean-up" job needed before snapping the picture!

Nail art time!

Got a mani I did a few days ago to share with you today! My original plan was just for some diagonal block parts, can't really explain but here's how they turned out! A friend said to me they look like little bow- ties which I totally didn't notice til she said!

The colours I used were:
Base coat: a-England - the knight
Colours: China Glaze - White on white and Barry M - Black.
Top coat: Seche Vite quick dry!

To do this look I painted two coats of white on white, let it dry, then with a striping brush painted an 'x' shape on my nails with the black. Once they were done I filled the 'v' shapes in with a larger detailing brush, let dry, then dabbed on a blob of silver paint in the middle and added a little gem to each one! Finally I topped it off with a nice thick top coat and hey presto! I love how these turned out too, super fun! What do you think? :)

Kawaii Birthday Surprise review

Today I've got a beautiful polish to share with you from the fantastic Kawaii! She's super awesome and makes the best polishes, seriously go check her out!

Birthday Surprise is a white jelly base with the prettiest red, green, yellow, purple and blue glitters of two different sizes which just reading that makes me think of a party in a polish! This totally reminds me of a sweet I used to have, Jawbreakers! Anyone heard of them? They were so good - several people actually said that to me when I was wearing this polish too!

You can find Jamie's awesome polishes here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/KawaiiNailLacquer?ref=usr_faveitems&atr_uid=17200313

I layered this polish over a base coat of a-England's 'The Knight' and two coats of China Glaze's White on White. I topped this look off with Revlon's Quick Dry Top Coat.

Totally reminds me of these babies! Loved them!

Fishtail braid nails!

This was something I did a few weeks ago but just wanted to share! The design is a popular one and I wanted to try my own hand at it! I started off just doing the one accent nail (picture 1) but then decided I liked the outcome so much I would do all of them the same! Took a long while but the result was definitely worth it in my opinion!

The polishes I used for this look were:
Base coat: Collection 2000 2-in-1 nail hardener and strengthener
Design: China Glaze - Stone Cold (theatre slate grey colour) and Thunderbird (the red) along with Barry M - instant foil effects silver.

Loved the effect in the end though it took about 2 hours to complete! The matte China Glaze colour chipped within the first day of wear but I guess that's to be expected with mattes!

OPI's Eurso... Euro and polka.com

Great combo of these polishes today! As soon as I saw the new Euro Centrale collection I knew I had to have some of them (was so difficult not to just blow all of my money and buy the lot!) I soon decided on the two shown worn together and have to say I'm mega chuffed with them!

Eurso... Euro is a deep blue which has purple undertones. In other swatches I've seen it's definitely more blue so I was slightly surprised that the outcome was quite so purple - though this may just be down to the glitter bomb top coat! Application of this was a dream, literally a one-coater and it was so pigmented! The colour is absolutely amazing and I would definitely wear this just by itself a lot!

polka.dom is just... Wow! A combination of fine magenta glitter mixed with larger light blue, magenta and purple hexagon makes this an absolute beauty! Again application was brilliant, a lot of glitter per brush stroke meant that a good amount came out onto the nail with just one coat!

Don't have anything else to say but I love these polishes! Can't beat OPI for formal and quality so I've found and these definitely live up to the mark! Will be getting some more of the Euro Centrale collection for sure!

Collection

Just thought I'd post a picture of my modest (compared to a lot of bloggers this really is modest!) collection of nail varnishes!

Flame On!

Got a flame design nail for you today! I saw another blogger do something similar and loved the idea so gave it a go myself and was quite pleased with the results.

I used the following nail varnishes to create this look:

Base coat: a-England - The Knight
Flame colours: China Glaze - Peachy Keen and Riveting, Barry M - Pale Yellow
Black: Barry M - Black (original name huh?)
Top Coat: Revlon - quick dry top coat

As I said I like the way this turned out - I used a sponge to create the flame gradient and then used a toothpick to fill in the black "drips" at the top to create the design! Hope you guys like!

Greetings!

Hi! Never blogged before so here goes.. I love all things nail polish and want to share my favourites and some great products with you guys - though I'm sure not many people will ever read this haha! I'll be posting both reviews and nail art so let me know what you think in the comments!
